FAQ 1. I'm the one who forgot to sign my student's student planner or forgot to put it in his/her backpack. Why is my child receiving a consequence?
A. It is you child's responsibility to ask you to sign his/her student planner and his/her responsibility to put it back into his/her backpack.
FAQ 2. If my child does not go to weekend Mass on a consistent basis, will he/she be able to receive First Communion?
A. If your child is not attending weekend Mass with you, a godparent, or someone else, serious consideration will be given to your child's readiness to receive the Holy Eucharist.
FAQ 3. Do we have to attend the Second Hour Sacramental Preparation Program on Wednesday nights if my child attends HCCS?
A. You do not have to attend the weekly meetings, however, there will be at least 2 meetings you will be required to attend. These are mostly "How to Do It" meetings. More information is listed on the "What about the Sacraments?" section of this website.
FAQ 4. If my child has been absent, will there be a consequence because he/she has has not copied his/her student planner?
A. There is no consequence if your child has been absent, however, because an assignment sheet will be provided if you come in to pick up homework or if the assignment sheet is given to your child the next day, those assignments should then be copied into the student planner.
FAQ 5. How often are the children allowed to go to the restroom?
A. There are at least 5 scheduled restroom/drink breaks during the day, and 2 unscheduled. We plan to go to the restroom before school, before or after the 10:30 recess, before lunch, after lunch, and after scheduled "special" subjects in the afternoon. The children are able to use our "bathroom pass" once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
